We provide whole-person help in a safe, accepting environment. Kids learn character and life skills through creative activities and educational games. Youth from marginalized areas gain access to nutrition, socialization, and pathways to employment opportunities. Our shiny, happy buses transport children door-to-door to exciting events and activities that promote physical, cognitive and behavioral health … plus tons of zany, outrageous fun!

Bullying. Peer pressure. Lack of positive role models. Who can kids turn to for help? At Power Company, we’re all about building healthy, trusting relationships and lifelong friendships. These connections support the critical social skills and emotional development needed to build resilience, well-being, and mental health into children. We provide access to the relationships and resources kids need to become self-sufficient world-changers.
STREET-SMART LEADERS.
Every mission needs to understand the local culture. That’s why we love training up youth from within the PCKC programs to be on staff. These “home grown” leaders inspire new generations of incoming kids with their testimony, perspective, and street smarts. They know from experience the challenges and obstacles facing kids in underserved neighborhoods. And they’ve personally experienced how Jesus Christ can overcome it all.

We exist to empower and propel under-served youth toward lifelong personal growth. Since 1993, we’ve helped thousands of kids overcome the effects of generational poverty, housing instability, and negative peer pressure — with a positive lifestyle rooted in self-respect and self-reliance. We teach life skills that translate into job skills that transform communities.

Poverty is real. And it’s right here in our own backyards. Many of the Detroit and Pontiac families we serve are forced to make difficult decisions just to survive. We help disadvantaged children rise above their circumstances with free access to the tools, resources, and tough love it takes to become bright, extraordinary men and women who give back to their community.

Food stress. Unemployment. Housing instability. The families we serve face significant challenges. We think every child, regardless of background deserves a chance to excel. With your generous help, we advocate for vulnerable youth by transitioning them from crisis to connection to confidence. Inner city kids respond especially well to the reassuring sense of consistency and belonging that comes from weekly programs and personal interaction.
